About Bianca, Founder of Zoe Sage

Hi, I'm Bianca. I'm the founder of Zoe Sage, I'm a mum of two, and I write the guides you'll find across this site.

Why I started Zoe Sage

The early days nearly broke me. Not in a dramatic way, just in that quiet, grinding way that every mum knows. Four hours of broken sleep, the dummy nowhere to be found, the nappy bag somehow always missing the one thing I needed, and me standing in the middle of a cafe trying to feed a baby while stopping a toddler from licking the window.

I had read the books. I had the nursery sorted. And still, every outing felt like a military operation. By the time my second came along, I had learned something that changed how I shop: the products you choose actually matter. The right thing, in the right moment, is the difference between holding it together and falling apart in a supermarket carpark.

So I stopped buying things that looked good on Instagram and started hunting for things that genuinely made the day easier. That is why Zoe Sage exists. You can read the longer version in why I started Zoe Sage.

What I actually do here

  • I choose the products. Every item in the range is here for a reason, and if it does not make a real day easier, it does not go in.
  • I write the guides. The sizing charts, the how-many-do-I-need answers, the washing advice and the fabric explainers across our learning articles are written from years of using this gear with my own children and talking to thousands of Australian families who use it with theirs.
  • I answer the emails. If you have written to us, there is a good chance you have heard back from me.

Where my experience comes from, and where it stops

I want to be straight with you about this, because when it comes to babies it matters.

What I know, I know from living it and from a decade of working closely with the products themselves: which fabrics hold up, how things actually wash, what size you really need, how many burp cloths get you through a week, what is worth the money and what is not. That is genuine, hard-won, practical experience, and it is what these guides are built on.

What I am notI am not a midwife, a doctor, a lactation consultant or a maternal health nurse. So when a topic is clinical, I say so and point you to the people who are qualified. For safe sleep that means Red Nose. For feeding and breastfeeding support that means the Australian Breastfeeding Association and your child health nurse. For anything about your own baby's health, that means your GP or nurse, every time.

Advice that pretends to be more than it is helps nobody. I would rather tell you honestly what I know, and be just as honest about where you should ask someone with letters after their name.

The brand behind the guides

Zoe Sage is a small, family-owned Australian business based in Clyde North, Victoria. We are not a big company with a marketing department. We are a family that makes and chooses baby essentials, ships them ourselves, and reads every piece of feedback that comes back. That is the whole thing.
